Chelsey
chairperson and co-founder
My name is Chelsey Dalee. I work as a community carer as well as looking after my mum full time and being a mum to my 3 children Jayden, Michael and Sophia. I am the chairperson and co-founder of Mysterious Minds which I set up as a foundation in 2017 after losing my former partner to suicide. As chair of Mysterious Minds I have many responsibilities and make decisions in collaboration with my trustee colleagues. I also make the children’s Christmas Eve boxes with team member Amanda. I never thought Mysterious Minds would go this far but it has gone from strength to strength.
Therefore, in early 2021 I made the decision to turn our amazing foundation into a registered charity which is in progress as we speak and I am excited to watch it grow and see what we can achieve.
Dawn
trustee
Hi, I’m called Dawn and I have 3 adult children I’m also a Grandma to 3 granddaughters and a grandson who was born sleeping. On the 10th July 2019 our world and life changed beyond comprehension the baby of our family Mollie Rose took her own life which is still totally unbelievable for me. I haven’t accepted it and nor do I ever think I can. I will never come to terms with my life without my precious child, it goes against the grain that any parent should have to bury a child. When Mollie died Mysterious Minds donated towards her funeral which inspired me to pay them back
in some way so I organised a charity event and took part in the sponsored walk, raising thousands as I had the backing of a local business that was doubling everything we raised. I felt so proud of myself for raising this money and it spurred me on to continue. Chelsey then asked me to come on board and join the team as a trustee which I gratefully accepted. Since then Mysterious Minds has gone from strength to strength, I am constantly approaching companies for backing and donations, attending charity events and raising more money. I also frequently answer messages on the page and am now personally supporting others that have lost a loved one to suicide. I am passionate about helping Mysterious Minds into a bigger charity and making it even more successful.
